Victory Of Good Over Evil

Ravana’s ten heads represent ten negative qualities like kaam (lust), krodh (anger), lobh (greed), moh (attachment), ahankar (ego), bhay (fear), irshya (jealousy), agyanta (inertia), dvesh (hate) and paschataap (guilty). Today’s lifestyle and dietary pattern are worsening day by day and elevating the effects of 10 demons of Ravana which will eventually affect everyone’s health. To seek the mind and body, balance, and healthy eating is a necessity.

As per the yogic diet, it’s classified into 3 types: Rajasik, Tamsik, and Sattvik.

The Rajasik diet or over-stimulating diet leads to a few qualities of Ravana such as jealousy, anger, lust, greed, and attachment. The foods rich in the properties like bitter, salty, spicy, hot, and dry; including gravy food, fried food, sweetened, or sugary food are classified as Rajasik foods.

The Tamsik diet makes you weak and sleepy which will eventually lead to demons of Ravana such as fear, hate, weakness, doubt, and guilt. In short, tamasik food is stale food which leads to diseases and also puts an adverse effect on the mind, body, and overall health. Tamsik diet pattern enhances anger and also increases criminal tendencies. The foods in this diet include stale food, meat, onion, uncooked or partially cooked & high-fat fried foods, spices, and liquor.

The Sattvik diet is a pure and balanced diet which leads to an increase in good energy, produces happiness, mental clarity, and calmness. The foods included in this diet are fresh, nutritious, tasty, and juicy foods that include cereal & millets, fresh fruits & vegetables, sprouts, roots & tubers, nuts, milk & milk products. These kinds of foods can help in getting rid of the 10 evils of your life and also keeping you away from diseases.
